will be getting a laptop soon :j but dont know what happens to all my personal details on my current pc can anyone adv me how to transfer my stuff can you do that
?
also hoping to sell my pc/keyboard/monitor 15 " [ dell 3yrs old , ideas on price ect anyone? ] but worried my details will stay on it :eek: worse still all the rubbish l google :rotfl:

When you get your new machine, use the files and settings transfer wizard to transfer your files and settings, then format the hard drive on the one you are going to sell.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0

Neither the DOS/Windows FORMAT command, nor the Windows install CD/DVD will securely erase data from hard disks.
Use a tool designed for that purpose such as DBAN.0
