Sorry, Coopers, don't mean to make fun but thats putting toast in a toaster (unless I'm just missing a joke here). You put flour, water, yeast and stuff into the breadmaker press the go button, wait 3 hours, out comes bread0 -
Or the alternative answer to the question:does this knead dough?
Is "yes" - it kneads dough - you don't have to take it all the way to the loaf of bread - you can put the ingredients in, get the machine to do the kneading and rising bits, then take it out, shape it and place it in the oven (for example hot cross buns).0 -
My other half is intollerent to gluten (and the supermarkets charge a fortune for gluten free bread) so we have been making our own wheat free bread for a while. Our bread pan has lost it's non-stickiness and is pretty useless now.
Does anyone know where we can get a bread pan for a breadmaker? I hear they are fairly expensive, maybe it will be cheaper to buy a new machine.Martin0 -
Superdrug have breadmakers at £14.99.
That reminds me, must dust off mine and put it to use.....the smell of bread cooking is yummy!0 -

There is a mention of this breadmaker on the old style board today - the person there seems very pleased with theirs. Sorry, can't do links but it's under the heading of Durabrand Breadmakers.

Sorry - did not pay too much attention as I had no-one to buy it for. All I can remember is that the picture looked like it cooks the more traditional shaped loaves, other than tall upright ones.surfsister wrote:ta! any idea make/model etc?0 -
I haven't looked into it in great detail, not knowing the make or model, but you could try http://www.espares.co.uk/ - if they don't have a part listed, you can request they get it in. Otherwise - e-bay? Or maybe a car boot sale.
