Breadmaker down to £20

Asda, Portrack Lane Stockton (don't know if others are doing it) are selling this breadmaker (and it is exactly the same one, right down to the Argos code on the box!!) for £20. My sister has just bought one and was well impressed - I've just got one today so it's still in the box! They were piled up one the end of an isle near the electricals. :j

That's a bargain! Hope it's a country-wide thing0

Thanks for this. The lining of my Panasonic 'pan' is peeling at an alarming rate.0

Oh yeurgh - didn't know they did that! I've just done my first "loaf" - which was actually a small chiabatta. It was nice - although I managed to singe the bottom (probably due to me getting over-excited and rushing the job after it had gone through a "cleaning" cycle). Wasn't much like the chiabatta I've had from the shop though - a slightly less "open" texture to it, and not very crispy on top. There again - it is the first ever time - gonna try a normal loaf next.0

Ciabatta bread is supposed to be quite dense and not have a crispy top. Sounds like it made it right to me. Put an extra bit of olive oil and a few finely chopped olives in the mix next time. I love ciabatta. Great on it's own with a summer salad and a nice glass of red wine

hi stumpy, did you also notice they had tea and coffee stations ( both on the same machine) down from £50 to £25 cant remember the make but looked ok quality, was tempted this pm but resisted

Cookiemonster - didn't realise they did tea as well as coffee, but yes, I did see them. Wasn't tempted myself as I'm quite happy with my "Yorkshire Gold" and it doesn't matter how I make coffee, it always tastes awful!
I was bought a very snazzy coffee machine once - one of these that was supposed to put frothy stuff on top, etc, but I just couldn't work the thing. Gave up and went back to tea.

I have just sent my husband on the hunt for the £20 breadmaker shown at the top. None of the stores he has gone into have it.

He is headed up towards Alton Towers.
If anyone has spotted one in any stores in that area please could they say.
Many thanks
Edit - One store did have them but they were £40 not £200 -
I've also been to our 3 local stores this monring and they only have the Durabrand. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0
