I signed up for some webhosting after a few days I wanted to cancel the package, but they say they dont offer a money back guarantee and as I signed up as a business the distance selling laws do not apply, but Im not sure I did sign up as a business.
The Form Went like this and what I entered:
First Name
Last Name
Registrant Type - This is the one that interests me, I left this blank but had a choice of:
UK Limited Company
UK Public Limited Company' selected
UK Individual
Non-UK Individual
UK Sole Trader
UK Partnership
UK Other
UK Limited Liability Partnership
UK Industrial/Provident Registered Company
UK Registered Charity
Non-UK Corporation
Non-UK Other
The Next part of the form was:
Business Name - I added my domain name in here without www and .co.uk
When I called to cancel they say because I entered a business name I'll be treated as a business customer, my argument is I didnt select a registrant type from the list above so they wouldn't know if I was a business or an individual.
Am I going to be paying a years hosting to a company I dont wish to work with or can anyone see a way out of this for me, my 7 days for distance selling laws is today
The Next part of the form was business registration number which was also left blank

Not sure where you stand but I think they actually have a pretty strong argument about entering a business name which considering you didn't choose anything as registrant type (i.e. UK Individual) it'd be reasonable for them to assume a business type. I think by specifically entering a business name and not indicating otherwise elsewhere would be enough legally as far as DSR is concerned to assume you bought it as a business."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
