Good Afternoon, 1st post so be gentle,
Got a letter from these lot addressed to the lowlife that lived with my daughter 3 odd years ago, ie, lowlifes name but my address,
Informed them he never ever lived here and got the usual "we'll look into" but can lowlife get away with this or can he be done for obtaining goods & sevices by deception,??

Can you be more specific? Are they asking for money? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Yes,they would like £1158 off lowlife, regarding his debt to 02,I told them where he resides now,car number,Parents tell debt collectors,do'esnt live here and dont know where he is"
Would not be so bad but he drinks in the same club now and then,

So they sent a letter to your house but he's never lived there? Tell them that then. Ring them and say he doesn't live here and never has. Say you don't even know who he is. If you receive any more letters, simply write on them "not known here" and post them back to Lowell. Think happy & you'll be happy

You're allowed to open itI always open any mail that comes for the dodgy guy who used to live here so I can ring the company and tell them he moved a long time ago.

Uh-oh,
The cut and paste brigade will be along soon to tell you that it is "Illegal" to open mail addressed to someone else at your address.
Not in my house, it isn't!0 -

As always!!
Before we give them the chance:
It is an offence to open mail during its course of transmission in the post, and only then if you open it with the intention of acting to the detriment of the addressee.
Opening mail that comes through your letterbox is not an offence.
