loss of internet

actually an other problem i have is the internet keeps switching its self off...
thought it was something to do with buffalo server,,,,but ive been runny lappy at same time and that gets cut off 1 in 7 times compared with desk top...
would a virus do this(new scan shows no virus) or is it something to do with settings

edit seem to happen when ive been on line say 40+ minutes
restart ing the computer solves this put is a pain in the ar**

A runny lappy sounds nasty, leaky battery or swine flu maybe.:rotfl:.
Assuming your Ethernet connection is solid,
its possible you are getting interference with your wireless link, try changing the channel you are on.
If you don't know how post the make and model of your Modem/router.

thanks for finding that for me..
the price you pay for cheap internet then

unfortunately.other options are not available at the minute(rent house no land line)
will move the router furthr away and see what happens,,,however i get
30 mins when on line
if however i walk away from the computer now, for an hr it will stay connected until i come back to it and 5 mins later it will go off:mad:

ok following the info on the linc that espresso gave me,,,
ive moved the modem and buffalo as far away from one another as possible 1.5 mts
so far so good,,,:T:T will see what the day time delivers:rolleyes:
