Hi all.. need some quick advice..
I have created a table in word.. and a want to draw an arrow between cells to show connections between Cells..
The drawing option does not work, because that just inserts a new drawing.
Does anyone know how to ahow connection between cells in these tables..
Many Thanks

I don't know how to cut and paste tables in this forum but have managed to do what I think you are trying to do.
Firstly have three colums, remove border top and bottom of middle one and size to your liking the insert, picture, autoshapes and select the arrow one on the left. Click in the middle cell and drag to the other cell you wish to point to. Is that what you wanted? There is always light within the dark0 -
Thanks Aunty..
I know what you mean.. I am more trying to do a School Timetable sort of thing..
Days of the week at the top..
Activities/time at the side.
with say PE being done on the same time through the whole week..
I want to try to use arrows to show that the activitiy is maintained through the whole week..
And before you ask.. I could re-type this is each day.. but the overall assignment is limited on the nuber of words I can use...The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

Raggie, it would work except for Bl*$%Y Microsoft an their features.
I assume when you try to add an arrow it creates a neat little box to put it in? MS calls this a canvas and by default trys to put drawings on a canvas automatically.
Go to the Tools menu>Options>General tab
Most of the way down, you'll see an option "Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting Autoshapes"
Turn it off (take out the tick)
Any current drawings will stay in their canvas, but NEW ones will appear without and can be moved a little more freely.
Hope this helps

Why not try Excel instead? There is always light within the dark0
