Reclaiming Charges From 2 Accounts At The Same Bank...

I had a basic account with Abbey, and i've had my current account with them for the last 2 years. I have charges to reclaim on both of them...do i have to send 2 letters and £20, or just put both account numbers on 1 letter and send £10?

Also, how have people found them when relaiming using the Financial Hardship clause?

Thanks in advance :)

    Thanks :)

Yes...well, it's hardship to me! I was working when i incurred the charges on the basic account. I lost my job and my home, and i'm now living in a caravan and claiming jobseekers. The charges that i've had since then have been on the normal current account, generally £35-£40 a time. I did inform them of my circumstances when they offered me the CC, but they said that it didn't matter...

Do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities) today?
Reason I ask is that without them the bank may not payout. You kinda ticked a number of boxes for me on hardship(lifestyle change: loss of job, leading to charges and inability to repay priority debts). However if the situation today has improved then that is where hardship may be difficult to prove.

I'm sure i can dig an old debt up from somewhere...would a catalogue do? As it is at the moment, i'm barely surviving (petrol for generator and gas bottles cost a fair bit!) and when i get charged it hits me hard. I don't have any rent arrears or anything where i am now tho.
