Hi we are a family of 2 adults and two children (who will be 8 and 6 when travelling) and we are looking for an all inclusive holiday in Cuba. Not really too bothered at this stage about which resort, but minimum 4*. Our budget is around £3k. Any suggestions anyone please?

We went to Playa Pesquero resort (5* all inclusive including premium drinks/bottles of wine with meals etc) and it was beautiful! We went in November, with Thomas Cook, and it was £1600 for two adults as a late booking. However, we could not get extra legroom seats or upgrade to premium and my tall OH suffered horribly on the flights
Be aware though that if you want to go at Easter 2007 it will be Canada's Spring Break and the resorts, I believe, from the various websites I visited researching going to Cuba, can be very busy indeed with young people/students etc in a party mood  (Cuba is very popular with Candians as it's short haul for them.) I'm not sure whether this would have an impact on UK prices due to the demand, but worth checking out?
We had a lovely time, but felt a bit resort bound to be honest and went on as many trips out as we could afford. The beaches were fantastic and the people very friendly and welcoming.
Enjoy :T

Hi, Saturday 31st March is the very best date for us, but not before 28th March 2007 and not after 2 April 2007. Thanks PhilDon't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

i went to Melia cayo guillermo on cayo guillermo jan2004 beatifull and remote. the cayo islands north of cuba are restricted to hotel guests and their workers only- so you don't have nobody bothering you on the beach.
the only thing is it is remote and the only place to walk to is the other 2 hotels, but perfect for families, it has a very good kids club, restuarants and it's all inclusive. i booked with thomas cook. 4 star for 2adults and 1 child cost us £1600. on thomas cook tv-sky0 -
i went to cayo santa maria, with thomas cook, at a Sol/Melia resort
best holiday ever. quiet, laidback resort, AI, great kids club and facilities, but nothing at all to do in the area and it was about an hours drive, just to get back to the mainland. the beach was lovely, but the sea was a bit too rough for the kids to swim in, and it dropped away quite steeply
the only down side, was the travelling time. 10hr flight, plus 3hr transfer - not much fun with kids, when you have been travelling nearly 20hrs, from checkin, to arrival at hotel
if going to Cuba, i would suggest going with Virgin, rather than thomas cook, it just makes the journey a bit more bearable. But Virgin only tend to go to the big main resorts, rather than the smaller island ones
