dvd no disc??

hi can anyone advise please?
i have a logix dvd-3300D, every time i put a disc in it just says no disc!!!!!!
i have tried switching off leaving it for a while then back on, checking the region...... do i give up with it??????
or is there something i can do????? any help thank you, :j

Yeah, if it's under warranty, take it back.
If you've got a laser-cleaning disc, that might be worth a try, but chances are it's goosed and you need to be looking for a new player. One of the gambles of buying a cheap 'n' cheerful, unfortunately.0
