I am RARELY touched by things i read here....this time i am
Anyway, the best advice i can give is that if you have managed to keep your head after the problems you have had in the past, then try to remember, although sometimes a bit worrying is that ITS ONLY MONEY!0 -
It doesn't sound like you have very good legal advice ... but VERY pleased to hear that you have the best medical care. :T
Your mortgage sounds like a lot of money, if it's a decent sized house would you consider a lodger? Perhaps someone who travels for work or temporary foreign language students? Or would that be a bit much for you? A tax-free income of up to £4K a year might make life a lot less stressful!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Although I can't help you, katch22, you did make me well up a little for you.
I hope you get all the help you surely deserve from these forums, and hope things go well as can be, as far as cancer is concerned.
Good luck! :kisses::kisses3::grouphug:Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
Just wanted to pop on and say thank you so very much for all the replies personal and on the forum...... I have been so very lucky throughout my recent 'challenges' and been shown kindness and humour in bucket loads, it looks like it's going to be the same on MSE. Clearing my financial crisis laughing along the way, now that's my idea of a solution...... see it's looking better already :-)
Working through my pile of statements now and bracing myself for the final sum.... the drum roll is killing me now. Will post later or tomorrow xDFW Nerd No 1218 :T0 -

Good for you katch!
It's daunting but once you know the exact figures it's a lot easier to know where to start and deal with it!

Like others have said if you can deal with all you have so far then facing your debt, scary as it is, will be alot easier than all the other things you have been through in the last few years. even though it often doesn't seem like it there truely is a light in the dark, but i have a feeling that in some ways you already know that. Scary stuff. I hope to be able to work again soon but it depends on my trip to hospital on 27th...... just need a miracle again there and I can get back to earning. Actually I miss working. Sad but true. First time in 30 years that I have been on benefits, how anyone lives on them long term I have no idea..... I would need MSE and a fairy Godmother I think so I take my hat off to anyone out there that has to do this.
Anyway here it is. The calculator did ask why no Life Assurance but I can't get any now having had the BC ....... can't afford it anyway :-) I feel better for having written it down and plan to tackle it all as soon as I have more money available.... any day now.
Thanks xDFW Nerd No 1218 :T0
