Can council (legally) charge for bins

    Not only that, but you don't even own the bin. It is the property of the council.
    In that case I would play their game. As the website clearly implies a purchase and therefore ownership, I would wish them to provide written confirmation that they have no rights over the bin in question. .... I know ... I'm a pedant :p
