Car Scrap Value

Anyone know what the currant value if any is for scrap cars & small vans or any reliable web site i could check out please. I have inherited an old Escort diesel van a Bluebird diesel car and an Austin Mini all rather old but could be driven though not legally:D

I wonder if the Bluebird diesel and Austin Mini might have enthusiasts squabbling over it for spare parts, hence more £ than a scrappie. If the Escort van is sufficiently old enough there might be interest in that too.

sign up to a mini owners club, and break the mini, youll only get about £100 if that for the mini weighing it in

could easily see £500 + in parts on the owners club

Yeah just looked on Ebay. Seems to be no interest in blubirds unless they're MOT'd, Austin Mini is the potential wad of cash I think.

My brother has just paid £325 for a non running Mini that requires restoration on a 1980 'v' plate. Put the mini on ebay as a classic for restoration, that's where he bought his and that was cheap, most he was outbid on. Remember to put that the buyer must collect.

Nail your bidder restictions down as far as you can, as well. Blocking bidders from other countries is a must, and obviously don't let the buyer pay using Paypal (they'll just say they didn't get the item, and do a Paypal chargeback) Check the ebay boards on here before listing for loads of advice I can't think of at the moment :)

If I'd got somewhere to put it, I'd have the Bluebird off you :D

If it's an 85 Mini, it's not an Austin. BL (or whatever it was then) stopped using Austin/Morris badges on Minis at end of 1969. From then on car was just Mini.
