Hi All,
What is the maximum amount of US dollars that I can take into the USA please? I know there is a cap (i remember having to declare that I didn't have x amount last time)

There is no maximum, but you have to declare anything over $10,0000

you have to declare that you're taking that much in cash.
they will ask you questions along the lines of why you're taking so much in, what you intend to spend it on, where you originally got it from... more so if you're on the VWP, as taking in HUGE amounts might seem like you want to stay and work illegally..
why not leave it in an account and withdraw it when you need it or pay by card?0 -
