Ive just been taken in by the Experian credit score offer and paid cos my curiosilty was getting the better of me. Wish I'd checked here first and saved myself the cash!!0

Lowering limits leaves no record on your credit file of the former more generous one. Nor will your credit files show they were reduced at your request (as opposed to the lender's decision).
I agree that you can't tell whether the limit was lowered as the result of a request by the customer or enforced by the provider.
However, you can see credit limit history from some lenders (MBNA is one) on your report, as well as markers for Minimum Payment, Promotional balance, Number of cash withdrawls and Amount of cash withdrawls.0 -
Only my Vanquis card it report
Jan - Limit £250 - Balance X
Feb - Limit £250 - Balance X
Mar - Limit £250 - Balance X
and so on.
I have check my OH for here B/C and it is
Jan - £2750
Feb- £2750
Mar - £5100
This is only on Equifax..Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000
6 credit accounts closed in 2010!
