I hate my black spots/moles on my faces

You know those tiny spots that are black like little moles. Dont know what they are called but i hate them. I dont know where they come from. Is there any way you can get rid of them but not surgery?

  • How many faces do you have? :rotfl:
Flames in the Garden of Eden
Heaven in pieces at my feet
    I faced the raging ruins
    Of a million sleepless nights
I need to rest my weary head
    On your resurrection bed.
  • Are we talking pigmentation, or spots?

I'd like to know this too.
  • Do you mean blackheads or small moles/beautyspots??

If they are blackheads then get yourself a facial with extractions, try steaming and using a facial scrub regularly (you can get daily use ones).

If they are sun/age spots then a good beauty serum like boots perform and protect would help.

If they are moles then I don't know whether you can get rid without surgery.

If you are sure they are not moles, then they are probably a type of wart, that doesn't sound great but they are very common and come with age or are hereditary. I have some of these in various places and have used the freezing product you can buy in boots etc and had some frozen by my dermatologist but be warned this can leave a slight scar, like a pale patch which does not go away, for me a pale patch was better than what was there before. Your first port of call should be your GP.
Thank you for this site Martin

Hi, I have them too. Some of mine are quite large. I have been paranoid about them all my life, tried to have some of the larger ones removed when I was younger but they have grown back and look worse because they are an irregular shape. I have tried covering mine with concealer with mixed results.

I have my hair cut in a way that covers some of them (my fringe mainly). When my hairdresser was trying to persuade me to have a longer fringe sweeping down, I said I can only have my fringe this way to cover my moles. She thought it was really funny because she thought they were actually attractive and couldn't understand why I would want to cover them up. My friend was surprised when I told her I wanted mine removing and said that she didn't really notice them! Isn't it Cindy Crawford with the mole on her lip?

I think we sometimes have irrational feelings over our apprearances. My sister has a thing about her nose which I cannot see. She worries about her hair too when it looks really nice. Having said that if it really does bother you go to see your GP thats what I did when I had some of the larger ones removed. They will tell you whether its possible or not. :)

They can usually be removed, but depending on their size/shape you might be left with a small scar. I guess it depends which you would rather live with.

focus888, is it blackheads or moles? I can't tell from reading the thread. :o

Sorry to hijack btw, but I have soooo many blackheads at the mo! Makeup covers them up well but I really want to get rid. Has anyone got any tips??? I'm using all the nose strips, steaming my face, clay masks etc etc but nothing's really working.

    TIA.
