Average xbox live download amount

Hi,

I have just started to use xbox live on Supanet's 2 mb bandwidth, 2gb download service.

The games are working fine with the 2mb bandwidth but do people think the 2gb download limit will be enough (I don't expect to be on it constantly), or should I upgrade to the 10gb limit for £3 more?

Xbox live uses less than you think - when my son was using it to play Halo 2 we saw average download speeds of between 10 and 20 kbs. Even with hours of use, it should only make a modest impact on your 2 gig limit. Obviously depends what else you are doing though. I use 20 to 30 GB a month, but I do download a fair bit of stuff off peak.

If you intend to use your connection a fair old bit, an upgrade might be wise. Why not monitor your useage for a week or two with Netmeter.? Handy, free utility. Use the Beta version, it's fine.
