iPAQ wifi connection hElP

Options
Hello and thanks for taking the time to look in

I have just bought myself a new iPAQ with built in wifi.

I have a Wifi usb adapter which I use to connect my daughters pc to mine, so she can surf the net.

I have tried doing it with the iPAQ and both the pc and the iPAQ say they are connected but I canot get onto the internet.

I need help but in a very plain english way. Networking really confuses me and if anyone could help or point me into the right direction to a step by step idiots guide I would greatly appreciate it.

I have tried one or two sugestions via the iPAQ site and they didnt work which made me lose patients and nearly throw the iPAQ at the wall ...... LOL

Again thanks for taking the time to look in

Thanks in advance for any help

What model is your iPAQ? I guess you're not using wireless router but instead using computer-to-computer wifi connection?

Maybe these guides will help -

Otherwise, suggest buying a proper wi-fi access point/router and doing away with Internet Connection Sharing on your PC.

What about using bluetooth? I can use my Ipaq 3900 to surf the web via my laptop using bluetooth OK.
