    The connection you are looking for is the ethernet port, as on the extreme right on the side of this DELL laptop =

    They are indeed but OTOH some people say they are fine and the poster wasn't complaining about the ISP.

    Because they take over the entire line it can be a bit of a game migrating back to BT based ISP without losing connectivity for a while.

    Regarding the laptop - the position of the connector varies considerably from brand to brand plus she doesn't have one - she has a desktop.

    I did not say OP was complaining about Talk Talk:rolleyes:, I mentioned that in passing another reason why OP may like to consider changing her ISP.

    She has a desktop AND is thinking of getting a laptop. I used that photo to show OP what an ethernet port looks like. As you are possibly aware:rolleyes:, they are the same whether on a lappy or desktop.
