Nero help

Options
Hiya everyone (again)

So anyway, I downloaded nero 7, had the baby crawling all over me, and when it came to file associations, I clicked next without paying enough attention, now thing is all my pics, movies and songs are associated with nero.

I am only using the free trial then getting rid, so what do I do to get them all back to their original formats?

Thanks :D

If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.

depends on the pic foemat all jpg should change at the same time, if you bmp or someting else you'l have to do the same with them..

One way is to open an Explorer window :
Tools > Folder Options > File Types

It brings up a box showing every registered file type on your PC.
You can scroll down the list of file extensions and change which application opens which filetype.
Bit fiddly, but if you want to use specialist stuff for each filetype it's probably the best way to do it. Normally you'd only want to change the main ones .jpg, .mp3, .avi etc...

This sort of thing usually happens when installing any new media software - like Real player or quicktime/nero..what I do to get all my settings back is (in XP) Start/All Programs and at the top of the list click "Set Program Access and Defaults" click the Custom button and choose the media player you usually have (in my case I use Windows media player) and apply/ok and all ur music and video icons should now open in that program again...hopefully :-)
