STILL not receiving email notifications for subscribed threads

This ha been going on since about April/May. I am subscribed to a few threads where I've asked for email notifications and am not receiving them. I do check my junk mail but they never come at all these days. I'm using Hotmail which I know delays the weekly newsletter but it doesn't explain this.

I've given up all hope of receiving the email subscriptions
I subscribed to the competition time bit for daily mails and I generally actually get the email about once a month.

I'd like to bump this thread in an endeavor to prompt a response from an MSE admin.

I too have noticed problems with the "Instant Notification" option.

Thinking that the problem was a result of being subscribed to multiple threads, I decided to remove all my subscriptions bar 1.

The 1 thread I am subscribed to was working well for a few hours after making the changes, however, the excitement was shortlived. There have been a few new posts on the thread this morning (2 hours ago) and I wasn't "instantly" notified. In fact, I haven't been notified at all.

Can MSE look into this or possibily introduce an alternative solution for live updates i.e. RSS?

Hi folks,

Subscriptions have been on our radar for a while now and it's time to have a look at the system as a whole. As I'm sure you can understand, a Forum of this size has a lot of subs to manage and there seem to be some fundamental issues (intermittent or non-sendingwe need to get to grips with.

Just so you're aware, we might need to remove a lot of old susbcriptions from people's accounts to free up some resources to get it all working again but we'll let you know before we perform that action.
