Penalty charge - 2 days in a row? Car not moved

Hi,

I left my car on double yellow lines on the May bank holiday from Saturday 23rd May 2009 to Wednesday 27th May 2009 in a quiet side street.

When I returned to my vehicle at 8pm on Wednesday 27th May 2009 I had received a penalty charge, which was issued on 27th May 2009, which I duly paid.

A few weeks later in the post I received a second penalty charge, which had been issued on Tuesday 26th May 2009, but had not been on my car when I returned to the vehicle.

As only one penalty charge was on the vehicle - and this is confirmed by the photographs that have been supplied to me - Do I have grounds for appeal?

Hoping someone can help.

Thanks

i'm afraid you'll get no joy. they can issue a ticket for every day it was parked there if they choose to, but the good news is, they cant issue 2 tickets for a veh unmoved in the same space on the same day. chalk it up and move on

having said that, have they provided 2 sets of photo's, each showing the 2 different dates? if not i would try app on those grounds, might just be worth a try as they have to provide evidence for each offence. if they have, see above...
