Laptop, Accidental damage claim

Hey Guys, just curious how it works
bought laptop in august 2007
Acer Travel mate 5720 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7300
2GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM
160GB hard disk
ATi Mobility Radeon X2500 256MB graphics
with extended 3yrs warrantly accidental damage cover...
Just recently laptop started to overheat which causing shut downs... i know that it is just a fan getting dusty, but i don't know if i can take the back lid off to clean it as it may invalidate my warranty, do you reckon that i should send it to the nearest service centre so they will fix it for me? but the part that i'm curious about is that I heard it is possible to get NEW up to date laptop after the "accidental" damage to the old one ;-)
So if i deliberately spill coffee on my laptop, they might send me a new machine and not only new but actually more up to date one.
So my question is, how does it works? anyone had an experience ? or maybe even an advice how to spill coffee properly, lol

It will be an equvillent modern lap top, don't expect a top of the range lap top as they can replace it with a lap top in the £300 to £450 price brand and this would be sufficient.
By the way what you are proposing is fraud and companies are surprisingly good at detecting it.0 -

How it works is that a thief perpetrates an attempted fraud and hopefully gets investigated, prosecuted, convicted and sent to jail.
Those of us who are honest and have to pay higher insurance premiums as a result of such crimes resent it.
Does that answer your question?
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.
