Mobile Broadband to Router

Hi

I have just moved house to an area with very poor (less than 512kbs) broadband.

As a temporary measure, I have invested in a Three dongle and monthly broadband. I have a couple of laptops which I would like to use simultaneously.

My question - is there a way that I can connect the dongle - directly or indirectly - to a wireless router so that the mobile broadband can 'power' a couple of devices. This would also allow the router to be put in the best reception area of the house.

Any ideas gratefully received!

The easiest way is to use this: http://www.three.co.uk/Mobile_Broadband/Huawei_D100_Router
    (or something like).

Otherwise, I suspect it will be incredibly complicated

prob the most accessible no extra equipment involved method available to you right now is to plug the dongle to your computer (switched on permanently) and enable "Internet Connection Sharing" (aka ICS) on your PC to enable your other computers/laptops to share internet.... (setup can be a pain)

failing that, i'm afraid you will have to buy a brand new router that is capable in recognising your USB dongle or one that has in-built "dongle" (insert sim into it directly) to share internet via the router itself...
