    they only charge to rceive a payment though dont they? there is no charge to the sender right?

    Yep. However in this case the person wanting £500 to their account would pay 3.4% minimum, and then the purchase rate on their card.

    A cash transaction is usually 2% up front but with a higher interest rate.
