What can this board offer me?

I have been a very long time lurker to MSE, occasionally post, and ive just turned 50 2 weeks ago and i suddenly discover the over 50's board. So is there a definitive list of things i can do now i'm 50???

Thanks,

Don't mqake it too well known that you're turned 50 or you'll start receiving funeral plan details from Cilla Black.

It's 60, not 50 that I'm looking forward to. I think at that age I'll just start doing exactly what I want and not care what anyone says or thinks.
At 60 you'll have lost control of what you say and do, therefore you wont be able to enjoy not caring about it.

All I can advise is: don't alert the Saga group of companies to your age, or you will never be short of junk mail ever again! Lord do they send a lot of stuff....

I am not quite yet 50 (next week- eek!), but my OH is already on the Saga mailing list. I used to quite like the fact that there was still something I was too young to join ........

but somewhere, out there, there's a computer that knows you are 50, and it's only a matter of time before the Stair Lift brochures start arriving without you having to do a thing :rotfl:

(you think I jest? sadly not!)

Since June I am running out of age boxes to tick when I do a survey. I'm either on the third last or penultimate depending on surveys. And I have further and further to scroll along a list when I have to fill in year of birth (unless the list starts at 1901).
