How can I record streamed audio?

Aaaaah!!! The music on the "Breaks" channel of di.fm is amazing at the moment! Does anyone know how I can record it so I can play it back on my mp3 player?

The music is streamed, and you have the option to download a Winamp .pls file (at the best quality) or an oocPlus .pls file, or a Windows Media Player .asx file.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance! :-)

Try Total Recorder for about £6 from http://www.highcriteria.com/

It works a treat.

I think it records as a 'wav' file but you can download Dbpower AMP Music converter to convert to mpeg or other format.

Thanks for the tip! I checked out the link and realised that Audacity (which I already have) can record the stream too! :-)

Take a look at Streamripper - it rips the stream directly, rather than just getting the sound output of your computer (which may include unwanted sounds). Open the PLS file in a text editor to find the direct URL to the stream.
