If I watch an hour of BBC iPlayer on my mobile, roughly how many Mbs will that be?
I ask because I have a data limit, and wonder if anyone knows or can hazard a good guess.
Thanks.

I seem to remember reading that they are around 600-700Mb each. That's an average though, and will depend on the length of the show and whether it's high or low def.0

The mobile version will not be those file sizes. Not sure what size they are myself.0

an hours show is around 200mb for the iPhone/iPod touch version0

for a PC an hour is normally 630MBThe orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0

My "unlimited" Virgin SIM has a fair-usage limit of 25MB! Are there any phone contracts that would allow you to download such large files without paying a fortune?0 -

Have you tried downloading before watching - ie to a sd card or via wifi so not using mobile data ?Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

No. On the N95 8GB, it's just a streaming application unlike the N96 and newer. For quite a long while the BBC didn't want to even allow the i-player app on older phones.
Wi-fi works, of course, but just streaming.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.
