Youtube/Flash video problem

in Techie Stuff
where to start, well anytime I go to a flash site eg. YouTube and try and watch one of the videos there it starts to load and looks like it loads the whole way through but only actually only plays a few seconds of it and then either stops or jumps straight to the end. I have tried reinstalling flash several time and it hasn't helped and I have no idea what to try next so any help would be appreciated.
Oh and I use firefox as a browser if that has any influence. Any questions you need to ask just ask.
