Cheapest way to stay warm using electricity

Hi lyndorset, forgive me for asking but what make/model panel heaters did you buy? - thanks.
Things to remember when chosing an electric heater. ALL heating systems are 100% efficient no matter if they are a £300 designer electric radiator or your grannys 2 bar electric fire. If it says 2Kw it will generate 2Kw of heat. No heater is more efficient than a simular power heater.
Things to consider are how you want your heat, most widely available are oil filled radiators or convector heaters.
Convector heaters are nearenough instant warming the air instantly but people say these heaters dry out the air, I dont tend to find this.
Oil filled radiators take longer to heat up, only when their hot will they start warming the air. Takes alot longer to warm a room, but people feel it gives a more cozy feel.
Sizing. Generally they come in 1-3Kw. 1Kw or less is good for a small room, eg box room. 2Kw suitable for a medium size room, Bedroom, lounge etc. 3Kw suitable if you have a large room, or want the room heated quickly, eg cellar, garage.
Always follow safety instructions, dont use your heater in a bath/shower room unless it is specifically designed for damp enviroments.0
