in fact, how do i delete that post?
  • I have used Goblin Combe farm a couple of times with no problems. Undercover parking also available (limited spaces). Did not need to leave keys. Good prices, and you download e-tickets.

hkwintrip - your earlier post links to a sort of comparison/affliate site which searches all available car parks not to some car park which they own. Which car park did you actually use and what actually happened there as it maybe useful for others to know.

Btw to remove the post, click on edit at the bottom of it when logged in and then should be an option to delete it.

I booked through purpleparking a couple of years ago for an off-airport site at Bristol. We came back and the driver had knocked the car damaging the wing, but obviously wouldn't take responsibility as there were no checks on the condition when we dropped it off.

Very same thing happened to us when we came back to Heathrow last summer. PP refused to accept responsibility.

3-day trip from Bristol; very early start, so bus/coach not on. Taxi costs £26 one-way (coach & bus back would be free as we're golden oldies.)
From previous posters, the on-Airport long-stay parking is <5 mins walk, so better/quicker than risking off-airport with a transfer.

Bristol Airport website price is £26.99 - or if you join their Travel Rewards scheme it drops to £24.29, for putting up with advertising emails.

All bar one of the websites suggested by MSE and forum posters (airport-parking-shop ->FHR, APH, Purple Parking, go simply) quote £27.99; the MSEWEB 5% discount is based on this - so £26.59

However, I then tried motoringdiscounts.co.uk [thanks to a poster on another part of the forum, which I can't now find to thank them.] By quoting the membership number of my breakdown organisation, I got quoted 15% (off the £27.99) i.e. £23.79 [Add on the petrol, and it's about the same as the taxi, and more convenient.]

Two thoughts: (1) why the extra £1 on all sites except the official Bristol Airport one, and (2) whilst I quoted my genuine breakdown organisation membership number, I wonder if they check or just want something plausible in the box?
