Sainsburys Crockery Set £10.99

Was on the hunt for a reasonably priced crockery set - OH keeps chipping them!!! So Denby is out of the question - unless it's OH proof. Do let me know if this is the case.

Found this for £10.99 (well, £5.49 and made the OH pay £5.50 - lucky penny - lol) from Sainsburys yesterday:

I would thoroughly recommend them. V V posh - lol.

Looks really nice shame the postage is £4.95 - can it be delivered instore or anything like that? Thanks
  • Hi Bexster,

I purchased direct from store, but displayed link online to show details of product.

    Found the following freephone numbers:

    Sainsbury’s Careline Tel. 0800 636 262

    Sainsbury’s Online Tel. 0800 328 1700

If a store delivery service is not an option, you could call the careline, and ask for them to check the stock of the individual store, bearing in mind that their computerised records do not account for possible damages that have yet to be processed and taken out of the system.

    HTH

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Thanks, I've got cups with the same design and colour so these will go perfect. :)
  • Hi Ammie,

Store selling mugs to match at 49p each.

It really is such a beautiful design.

  • Thanks, I've just ordered 2 sets :)
Might even have to head to my local Sainsburys to see if I can get the matching mugs!

Well worth it to buy 2 sets.

I'm glad someone else thinks the same.

I mentioned another, but different, set to the OH (the man who only has one pair of shoes at any one time - which I as Tibbs I M - Imelda Marcos and hoarder of everything in multiples - find very difficult to understand), and he almost blew a gasket, in a somewhat cartoon comical kind of way.

I think in advance, and think another spare set is a good idea, but Mr Tibbs and his minimalist nature doesn't think beyond one item.

If this gets chipped - urrgghhh, perish the thought - I'll...well...okay...will force him to get two sets next time round - lol. That means he'd have to pay for an entire set himself, when going half-sies.

I really think I should smuggle a second set, and stash it in my folk's gargage.

I bought a set of denby from debenhams with a % off because I took a store card (never any balance on it though). It has been much worse at chipping than the "cheap" stuff we had when first married so I'd stick with this.

I bought a similar set in Morrisons for £6.98 to match my new glass splashback as pictured although what I will say is the bowl is a bit shallow, okay for strawberries and cream but not great for cereal whereas the Sainsburys bowl looks a better size.

I did wonder about this. Thanks for confirming. This will save me drooling over Denby, and thinking if only Mr Tibbs didn't have the middle name of Calamity Jones Tasmanian Devil.
