  • Try putting them over the side of the bath, open the window and leave overnight, they should be dry by morning if not give them a quick iron
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • yes my post is for real. I am only 22 and do not have ANY "real life experience"
So i find this board really helpful in all the silly little things i feel that i should know already, but don't.

I usually do my washing on my day off, but i am now working 2 jobs and working 7 days a week!!! With 1 pair of black trousers, and no days off, i was wondering if there was any quicker ways i didn't know about to make sure they are dry in time for work tomorrow!

hey, I am sorry I was kidding around, did you see the post about clean knickers, that was a joke one!!

You know seriously though when I went to school they taught all this.

Hope you got it sorted :)

  • Hey, thanks all! They were a little damp still this morning, but i ran the iron over them and they were fine :)

Thanks for the help everyone, and yes the first day of the new job went well. Back in at 7 tomorrow morning though!!
doing 28 hours in there this week, as well as 15 in Morrisons.

    And working 11 days straight!!

Totally shattered though, just out the shower and i am gonna dry my hair and get into bed!

No i never did see the post about clean pants...wish i had though!
I only had home econimics in first year in school, which was 11 years ago!!! And all we did was sow a puppet together and make a sandwich, pasta and cakes in it!

I'd go for ironing them. When I was your age and working for a supermarket I'd sometimes wear slightly damp trousers to work at 6am. :o They'd be dry by the time I got there though.

It takes time to learn all the skills we need for adult life. I have lots of conversations with my older kids about subjects like this. Its good to have a place to ask anything! How about buying yourself another pair of trousers when you have been paid and a day off? I know Mr T does a cheap pair as I used to buy them for my work trousers. Lots of luck with your new job.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Yeah i was going to do that, i get paid on Friday from Morrisons, and i am only in doing a wee training session that day. No Tesco near me, so it'll be into the city centre and to primark for me :)
