How to get my trousers dry for tomorrow?!!

Finished work at 8pm tonight, got in about 8:45 and put a washing on, it's not long finished.

But the dilema is, my black trousers are in there and i need them dried for work tomorrow. I start at 2, so i really need them dry for 1:30!!

Think i'll manage it? I only have a clothes horse to throw them over, and can't put the heating on, or put them outside overnight as its raining :(

Do you have a heated towel rail in the bathroom? Either one heated by the hot water (which presumably will be on between now and then) or one you can switch on manually)? If so, put the trousers on there and they should be dry in plenty of time.

    what are they made from?
wrap them in a towel and lay it on the floor and jump on it to remove any excess moisture
hang then in a window (ie from the curtain rail) by a hanger so they are not folder over themselves

if all else fails iron them, a lot!!!!!
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • sorry i dont know what a hot press is?

No don't have any rails or space in the bathroom, it's teeny tiny!
  • just checked the label they are polyester...does that help with drying? lol
  • My polyester work trousers dry overnight on the airing horse or over a chair back.

Polyester trousers should dry quite quickly. You could try ironing them dry. You'd probably be better putting a linen cloth between the iron and the trousers though, so they don't go shiny.
  • thanks for that. I've had to put them over the heater (not on though, not been on for months) Cause my mum already has a washing over the clothes horse

Only pair of black trousers i have, though i really need to buy a new pair when i get paid. They done me fine for in Morrisons, as only ever do 9 hours a week.
But starting a new/second job tomorrow, and she can give me 30 hours a week at the moment, as well as doing my 9 hours in morrisons

I think a hot press is probably an airing cupboard - do you have one? I find things will dry in there. I put a wet towel on a radiator last night (the heating is not on and hasn't been for months! - it was just somewhere to hang it) and it was dry by this morning - I think its so warm at night that if you hang them up somewhere they will dry anyway.
  • no, we don't have an airing cupboard :(

Fingers cross they are dry, or hopefully it stays dry tomorrow i can put them outside for a few hours when i get up
