Either nobody in my areas had to go BR recently or the local papers have stopped putting BRs in........anyone know if BR's are no longer listed in local papers?

I read somewhere recently that BR are no longer posted as routine in your local newspapers, except where there is a public need for your BR to be reported. Some kind of cost-cutting measure IIRC

That's right, the only time it may be advertised in the local paper is if the OR thinks it is in the interest of the public, i.e. someone dodgy!! Still in the London Gazette though

All I can say is " Don't let it put you off if they do":p

Round my way, nothing for months apart from LTD admins and one last week who's dividends of 3.3 pence in the pound can be claimed by anyone who can be bothered;)

The only local paper that it appears in around our way is the freebie paper that comes through our door .... sometimes, (other times the papers get dumped in the woods around the corner, by the young paperboy) :rotfl:

Nobody reads it anyway, but its great for cleaning the windows with though !!!

Do they still wrap chips in newspaper??...not seen that done since I was a kid.. LOL probably banned for being dangerous like so many other things.

Chips did taste better with added newspaper print seasoning.:rotfl::rotfl:

Chips are now wrapped in white paper as newspaper is now a "health and safety"issue.
