I have exactly 140 Euro in cash and I want to deposit it into my Lloyds TSB account as cheaply as possible.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Matthew

Agree 100% with that - one need not shop around for rates for that kind of amount - just get the rate for EUR-GBP from reuters.co.uk and ensure what you're getting is not excessive as compared to this rate...It's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!0 -
Well you may as well shop around, as all the shops you need are likely to be in the same place. Have a look in the window of LTSB, and compare this to the other banks, travel agent and post office, then change the notes at the one with the best rate. Some of them will probably be trying to fob you off with an incredibly poor rate, so there's probably at least £10 difference between the worst and best.0

Thanks Fatboy.

I suspected that there would be quite a difference between one exchanger and another, after all many people don't shop around.
I'm going to look in the bank/travel agent/post office windows when I'm in town.
