I only have best offer so that people can get discounts for multiple purchases. If you're only buying one then you won't get more than 50p of the bin price. Works for me

I would imagine the reason why many sellers refuse what look like good offers, is that they are not ebay "pros" and are not as experienced as you think they are.

I have a friend who has her whole family sell via one ebay account (mother, father, one child/tweenager and two aunt/sisters sometimes grand parents and occasionally friends of the family) not all know what they are doing- the tweenager actually knows alot! but as they all have sold on the account, it shows alot of things sold- think its got some sort of status like turbo lister? or something like that.

I would imagine if someone is in-experienced, they don't always know a good offer when they see one!

Just realised something interesting. Once the buy it now ends you can look at bidding history and see for what price offers where accepted at. I now see i was a 99p under being accepted on a dress lol. If the item is relisted again will help you get the best deal :).

You can also use goof bay. Search under the sellers ID (in most popular) it will tell what offers they have accepted in the past. So you can work out what sort of offers they accept

Better than that, check their feedback and search for the same description - the price a buyer paid will be displayed in the next column. This clearly only works if they have sold more of the same item.

Doesn't work if the feedback is private.

You can search items for sale and completed listings only to see what they have sold though.
