Are there any credit cards that offer free extended warranty on electrical items purchased using a credit card.

I get that on my Nationwide Gold Visa - 1 year extra as long as I remember to call them and register the item.0

Just two notes:Northtim wrote:I get that on my Nationwide Gold Visa - 1 year extra ....
1. All Nationwide cards offer this, not only Gold one
2. Extended warranty is ' on selected goods '. The list of 'selected goods' is not available online. For example, they don't offer warranty on any items containing a hard disc.0 -
Also with Nationwide, it doesn't cover anything that was bought abroad."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

They offered the extra warranty for me on my Tivo (which contains a hard disk), but that was a couple of years back now.

They just refused my Topfield PVR, despite of the fact that the list of items they cover includes 'video recorders' without further specification ...djblamire wrote:They offered the extra warranty for me on my Tivo (which contains a hard disk), but that was a couple of years back now.0 -
Citicards also offer 1yr extended warranty for domestic electrical products. The policy document is available on their webite, it doesn't seem to exclude products with a hard drive.0

Nationwide would not cover my expensive audiophile headphones even though thier list of selected products includes HiFi separates

On the plus side, LCD TVs and DVD recorders are OK!! 0
