Connecting leads to LCD TV

We have 4 items (cable box, wii, PS and Karaoke DVD) that we connect to our LCD TV using red, yellow & white Or Red, green & blue leads (AV 3 on settings)

At present only 1 unit can be connected at a time, is there anything available like a "switching box" so that all 4 units can be connected to one box and then that box left connected to the TV?

Thanks

Yes, you can get switch boxes; there are five types of video leads:
    1. Composite, which is a yellow "phono" plug.
    2. SCART, which is a rectangular plug with one corner going to a slightly longer triangular point, and lots of pins.
    3. RGB/Component, which is a st of three phono plugs (Red, Green, and Blue). Sometimes also known as YPbPr.
    4. S-Video/S-VHS, which is a round mini-DIN plug.
    5. HDMI, which is the latest connector, and is quite small and flat.

You will usually have audio cables which have red (right) & white (left) phono connectors.

I have a 4-way SCART switch box and also a 4-way S-Video+Composite+Audio switch. If you have a lot of money you can get more complicated units and AV processors.

Thanks for that Prowla, will some switching boxes come with say 2 lots of RGB and 2 lots of Yellow composite with the red & white audio conectors.

Will this be best to get from Maplins or Ebay or similar?

    Cheers

Thanks Dave, I see the 3 way boxes there so that should keep us going.
