Travelling to Moscow

Go to Moscow, about twice a year. Anyone know of the best alternative to BA or Aeroflot (around £230 return) that doesnt mean all day at some european airport. The italian connections are too long. Dont mind an overnight flight, but hate the early starts.

Suggestions? Also any recommendation for the best visa company to use?

Any help gratefully received!

I did Bristol - Moscow in December on KLM via Amsterdam. Connection times were excellent and (if I remember correctly) the prices were around the figure you mention or even lower. My colleague flew Manchester - Moscow using the same KLM flights as me from Amsterdam - Moscow.

Presumably the price would need to be considerably lower to make connecting worthwhile. Personally, I always travel direct if at all possible - the £30/£40 saving just isn't worth the stress.

Interestingly, I see BA have just started an overnight flight from Heathrow to Domodedovo which may be cheaper?

Have a look at airbaltic they have reasonable cheap fares - probably via Riga or Vilinus.

Or you could fly from Stansted to Riga on Ryanair and then from Riga to Moscow on Air Baltic, depending on the flight times matching up.
