Things have improved since then. There are now 3G networks which enable broadband speeds...as long as your phone is compatible.0 -
I think the suggestion was to look at a different supplier from Orange anyway...unless you are happy with Orange.
I am happy with Orange now (I wasn't for a while when they took over wanadoo but their service has improved).
I was just fishing for oipinions because the dongle had the added advantage of my being able to use my lappy wherever and just I wondered whether it would be good for all round use as well, ie. as my sole provider. Although accessing my emails when out would have been useful, it is NOT my priority.

Bear in mind that you speeds may double if you are within Be/O2's 'unbundled' areas.
