ps3 and 360 controllers on win 7???????

ok i have both of the above working happily on xp

working on vista with some encouragement

but windows 7, nadda

i have the latest drivers for it that works on xp/vista

and i figured they would work on windows 7

but windows 7 automatically installs drivers to both of these. A simple google shows that for some people these drivers work fine but for me nothing.

now ive deleted all the drivers etc. etc and restarted te comp with wlan off to prevent windows finding the drivers on the net but somehow it still finds and installs them.

Also i should mention that ive tried the updating driver route, windows jsut says it has determined drivers are up to date, and ive also tried force installing them through device manager and still no luck

so anybody had the same issue and worked it out?.

i do like using normal controllers for some games, avoids the incorrect bashing of keys to find mellee or reload in a firefight lol

Windows 7 is in beta format, so that's what you should expect....for things not to necessarily work. How about running via XP Mode?

yes i know this but google shows it seems to be very hit and miss with no real explanation why...

i have tried xp mode and its the same thing

i suppose its what you get when microsoft say its "easier" to use prehipials now drivers are always installed automatically

pain in the !!! when its wrong and you have your own drivers.

Just checked both the wired and wireless 360 pads, both seem to work fine with Win 7 RC, no special drivers installed.

Have you tried the official GFW driver package, its slighty differnt to the windows update drivers.
