  • I should have a look at the Skoda Octavia. Great cars, huge boot and very reliable. If you can find a pre05, when the model changed they are very good buys. Beware, a lot of taxis/companies used them so max mileage 12k pa which should mean private use only.

If you were happy with the toyota, which you obviously were, get another one, bigger or smaller as per your requirements. ;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

You didn't buy your current Corolla for the driving experience;).

You bought it for what you got, a sensible, competent, reliable mid range car.

Looking at a newer model of the same car seems eminently sensible.

I would also suggest an outing in a Mazda3 just for a bit of comparison (but I am a bit of a Mazda enthusiast having just ordered two new ones for 1 Sept.)

I'll go along with most of what Landy Andy says - its a shame that you need to replace your Corolla - they don't make them as good anymore, all newer cars are less efficient and less reliable and harder to fix!

Re Mazda 3 - think it would be too small for the Lab. What about a Rav 4? Not too big and plenty of room in the back. I rather like them.. :D

The Prius is a good looking car - in comparison to a huge amount of stupid vehicles I see on the roads these days.

Looks are important - who designs these ugly cars? What goes through their minds?

Maybe we should have a comp to find the ugliest car.. :D
