changing from outlook 2003 to 2007

So I imported all my e-mails now (5.5gb) and now the microsoft server tells me my inbox, sent items & deleted items exceed the allowed mailbox size......when in fact the deleted items is empty, and the other 2 have around 10 messages each in them.

If I go online to the Co. web based e-mail I now see ALL my folders, previously it was only basic inbox etc......I really only wanted to put the folders on my computer, not the server......even though all the folders are empty - mails downloaded to laptop.

Is there something in the settings which I can change to keep all my folders ONLY on my laptop and how can I convince this sytem that instead of having 120,000kb of messages in fact I only have about 200kb in the three boxes?

think I will revert to 2003
