Standard Life directors are keen for the proposed demutualisation to have a proper mandate from members. They want a high turnout.

Whatever your views - for or against - it is important for members to express them.

The Special Geneneral Meeting is set for May 31st 2006, but the voting forms are arriving now in the proposal packs that tell members of their share allocation.

I have had a Castle Pension Series for Free-standing Additiional Voluntary Contribution Scheme from Standard Life since about 1989. I now have a monthly payment from them; will the proposed plans have any effect on my circumstances?

If you have an annuity, you will not be eligible for any windfall, because you no longer own any investment assets.

My wife and I have two "low cost" endowments with SL but have heard nothing about this, not voting papers info packs or anything though we still get our statement once a year.

Will we be eligable?

Only if you have a with profits investment.

Were you asked to confirm your address details late last year? If so, I think you should wait for your pack to arrive. If not, I'd phone them on Monday morning.
