i'm already with 110mb.com but I think they're going to implode sooner or later as they're introducing adverts and a lot of people on the forums aren't happy.
still, i've got a few to try via google but if anyone knows any good, reliable alternatives then i'd be grateful - cheers

free hosts need to make money and with the credit crunch hitting more people then in the end they all will offer adverts on your site
https://www.no-wires.co.uk offer 500MB space, 5gb bandwidth pcm, unlimited sql for £15 per Year
i have a 110mb account (old one so has 1tb bandwidth and huge space, and has mysql enabled) which means 110mb won't show ads on it, its box 13 but i never use it, all i ask is £5 for it as it cost me that (i bought the sql for it)
it also has fsockopen ($9 upgrade) which lets you send emails via a smtp server such as googlemail or yahoo mail
its box 13 which is probably the most reliable boxSilenced by the Gestapo :rotfl:0 -

Hi
I've got a free account with 000webhost.
I've not been using them for long so I can't comment on whether they're any use.
This is in the blurb:-
There's no adverts (yet), but each page has a link to their homepage.PHP with MySQL Database Support
Unlike other free webhosts we do support PHP and MySQL with no restrictions. You get full access to the latest version of PHP and MySQL. The following PHP features are fully supported:- PHP mail() function and Sendmail
- Curl, GD2 library, XML, Zend, .htaccess support
- fopen() and PHP sockets
- safe_mode is OFF, file uploads are ON
- Zend Optimizer support, Ioncube loader.. and much more features are enabled

we would far rather have full control of my sites and wouldnt want the chance of adverts on our sites and for £9.99 per year i think its a no brainer used these for a couple of years now with no problems what so ever

thanks for all your replies - i've resolved things with 110mb.com now and i'm staying with them.
i do have a paid upgrade with them so i won't actually have ads on my account so i'm happy with that.
i'll keep this thread in mind for the future though, just in case
