Last Minute Hotel - any ideas?

Hi!

I'm desperately trying to sort something out to do next week. I want to go somewhere really within 100 mile radius maximum of Liverpool and I'm trying to find a nice hotel thats cheap with breakfast and possibly an evening meal. I saw a good deal with Hilton but all the hotels in the vicinity are fully booked.

I'd like to go somewhere like maybe York or Stratford but I'm open to suggestions. I've looked everywhere - can anyone find me anything?

Any suggestions much appreciated! Was going to go abroad but have given up on that idea now. I want Tuesday night and Wednesday night preferably but can move it to Monday and Tuesday if its a problem.

I just checked for Lake District - there is availability from £56 per night 4* in Windemere, 1* b&b for £50 - prices per room, based on 2 people. Peak District - Ashbourne 3* from £50 , Buxton from £6. Not checked anything else - they are usually fairly competative with other websites.
