Ordered from dell, not recieved any kind of email

I ordered a laptop from dell about 2 hours ago, it said it was all done and i dont need to do anything now, but i havent received any email or anything telling me my order number or whatever so am getting abit worried, i didnt make a note of any reciept number on the page because i presumed i would get an email...
Spoke to a dell customer service representative and they said there is no record of an order being placed to my address :-/

This is a binary problem - either the order worked or it didn't. In my experience it can take some time for a Dell order to show up on their website, so wait until tomorrow (at least). By then you might have got the email, or can see it on the website, or a Dell rep might be able to find it. Probably not a good idea to put in another order until, perhaps, Monday. And make sure then Dell are aware that if your first order turns up on their system, then they must cancel it.
Of course it's always possible that you mistyped your email address?0 -
Thanks, im hoping theres just a delay in the email getting to me, i dont think i typed my email wrong, suppose well see... And how would i inform them about cancelling my order if it shows up if i order again?0

Hi - I ordered a laptop from Dell about 2.30pm this afternoon. I haven't had an email yet either and when I try to track the order it says they can't given an update yet as the order is still being processed, and that it can take up to 4 working days for payment to reach them and for the order to be processed. I am not too worried about it for now and will chase on Monday if necessary. After my bad experiences with laptops direct this week I am starting to wonder if I ever will be the owner of a new laptop. Maybe I should have just bought something from Tescos in-store - it would have been simpler0

I found dell cusomer service excellent when I called them, as long as you can get past the strong accents (on both our parts!). I'd give them a call back on monday and ask them that question.0

have just checked my email and my order confirmation came in at 2am this morning. I am sure yours will have come through now was well. Hopefully it won't take them too long to build!0

i odered a laptop from dell - (on finance - i know its more expensive but i needed one and my dp credit rating will be helped) the 2nd of july by phone they emailed me everything i needed i faxed it back (finance agreement) and my laptop was delivered 9 days later...the agent i dealt with actually gave me his extension number to ring when id faxed the docs so he could get the order started asap.
they seem to be a good company
