Told my son

i would like to tell my kids - they are 16 and 12 but OH says they don't need to know - they know we are skint and that's not going to change!0
-
I think you and the OH should both agree whether to tell them or not as BR is stressful enough for a relationship without adding that stress to it.

i agree! we have only told our parents and closest friends, he is adamant we don't tell my sister which is going to be difficult for me but i agree we've both got to be comfortable with it as it affects both of us.0

I only told my mother and sister, husband and children plus 2 friends and of course everyone on here! Oh and my accountant as he was one of my creditors!

oh yeah the accountant! Seeing as he was prepping end of year accounts for limited co and asked if our personal circumstances were going to change in the next year we kind of had to! When i say close friends - that's 1 couple! My parents are being totally fantastic actually which is nice support0

I've only told 1 friend (after finding out she did it last year) and my mum
One went well and the other didn't......guess which one :rotfl:In for a penny in for a pound :j0 -

Wish my mum reacted like that haha
She flew off the handle, has so many misunderstandings of BR and wouldn't listen to reason when i tried to give her the correct information
Has decided that her house (that i have no connection other than i used to live there) will be repod. She has the same make of car as me and had hers into the garage the other day and was freaking out because they will know when they are looking at hers that i haven't been able to pay for mines this month. That i will loose my job (not even in the financial industry) etc etc etc
Oh yeah and she hasn't spoken to me sinceIn for a penny in for a pound :j0
