What is it with Labour and non elected people in power?
Huh? What is it with the Tories and non-elected people in power? Lord Young spent 4 years in Thatcher's cabinet from the Ermine benches as Employment then Trade secretary. And Lord Carrington who was Foreign Secretary for 3 years.
Yet another moronic post from the "world never existed before 1997" mentality.0 -
I am specifically complaining about Mandelson and Labour. Rest assured that when the Tories get to power I will be complaining about them. Labour will be forgotten.Rochdale_Pioneers wrote: »Huh? No doubt as Mandy's 'running the country' means that he can claim all costs on this holiday as expenses as he's 'at work'.
The Labour snout and the trough are never far apart.:mad:0 -
Tebbit was on a daytime show the other day, he hit the nail on the head t b f. He was saying it was there so they took it without thought. It has tarnished politics big time and will take a long time to fix. He's old school and can see the damage, many of those caught in the trough are so far removed they don't understand what they have done wrong.amcluesent wrote: »No doubt as Mandy's 'running the country' means that he can claim all costs on this holiday as expenses as he's 'at work'.

I believe it was Loose Women. I saw that episode too “I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
That programme is pretty high on my list of reasons why being unemployed would suck.
Ohhhh indeed, I'm off uni for the summer and haven't found anything, so stuck in most days. Unfortunately I have stooped low enough to watch Loose Women, in between postings here haha. Soon as I graduate I'm going to apply to as many supermarkets, shops and things like that, just to keep off the dole and away from daytime TV!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Oh I agree it's total trash, he was not comfortable on there at all but he did speak some sense.. It's not unemployment that enables me to watch it, saying that if I was u/e I would have to leave the tv off all day it would drive me round the twistThat programme is pretty high on my list of reasons why being unemployed would suck.
Mind you spend 10 mins down on the D T board there's some rubbish spouted down there. Doesn't take long to upset some peopleI came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0
